IN PROGRESS

During the assault on the TerraGroup office, a massive explosion erupted on top of one of the the nearby high-rises. I got left on my own, with no contact with command. Looks like I’ll have to handle the evacuation myself.

But first things first, I have to get out of this Ground Zero.

The backup evacuation point is located at the port on the coast, but reaching it means moving straight through the city. In case of an emergency, command left us a few local contacts — people who know the routes and can help with supplies.

To get through the city streets, I’ll need help from a certain Therapist. She knows the safe approaches to the Streets of Tarkov, and without her intel, heading in would be too risky. She might also be a valuable contact down the line.

I could also bypass the downtown area and head for the highway interchange that leads toward the port. But that area is under Ragman’s watch. I’ll have to make arrangements with him first if I want to pass through.

I can try working with Therapist and Ragman, and also make my way to the interchange.

Therapist said she can secure safe exit routes, but it’s gonna cost. I’m not sure I can trust her, but there’s no other option. I need to gather the cash.

Ragman turned out to be a pretty reasonable person. He’s not letting me through for free, but in exchange for a simple job, he’s willing to introduce me to one of the local big shots over by the customs terminal. That’s something, at least.

I managed to make a deal with Ragman for safe passage from the Interchange towards the Terminal. If the port really is sealed off, I’ll need contacts like him.

Ragman promised to introduce me to a local trader who goes by the name Skier. I should pay him a visit.

I can now move into customs and start working with Skier. It’s the only way I’ll reach the port.

Skier knows some kind of weapons specialist near the chemical plant. That’s not the kind of contact I can afford to pass up. But in exchange for the info, Skier wants me to help gather building materials to rebuild one of his warehouses.

Therapist has provided me with safe routes through the city blocks.

I can now access streets of Tarkov when needed.

Skier pointed me the way to the factory and even gave me a contact to link up with Mechanic.

Mechanic could turn out to be one of the most valuable contacts in Tarkov. I need to make this meeting happen soon.

Mechanic is one of the few who’s still trying to keep a human face in Tarkov. He’s willing to put me in touch with Prapor, who has supply channels for Russian weapons.

But before he sends me, he asked a favor. I need to recon the Factory and find the bandits holed up there. Mechanic wants samples of their weaponry to determine exactly who’s planning to seize the Factory.

The road to the port runs from the Factory through the Priozersk nature reserve, and Mechanic shared a couple of routes with me along with a contact for Prapor, who can provide me with Russian-made equipment.

Now I can access the woods area and start working with Prapor.

This time Skier gave me a tougher job. I need to stir up trouble in the nature reserve and neutralize the Scavs that attacked Skier’s warehouses. I don’t necessarily have to track down anyone specific. For Skier, the point is to make a loud statement.

I can now get to the coast and investigate the evacuation point at the port terminal. The port must be guarded, but the military likely left some kind of comms to contact them from outside the gate. I need to find it and make contact with the garrison at the port.

I completed the job for Skier, and in return he showed me a path to the coast. They say the Azure Coast heath resort was an important TerraGroup point during the evacuation.

Now I can access shoreline, and I can also buy equipment from Peacekeeper.

Even before being sent to Tarkov, many of our guys were talking about some underground TerraGroup facilities. Maybe if I can grab a truly important sample or some real data from there, I’ll have a better shot at getting out of the city. The locals still won’t trust me with anything important. I have to act on my own.

I won’t be able to find TerraGroup’s remote sites without a lead. But they must have had a hub or some facility inside the city. I need to find the entrance and figure out how to break in.

For a site like that, TerraGroup probably set up an access system, meaning I can’t get in without a specific keycard or access codes.
